Exercising our spirit, our inner being

What does it mean to exercise our spirit, or exercise our inner being?

Three things. Practically to speak, when we say exercise our spirit, it is to exercise our conscience. Your conscience is an open door to your spirit. If your conscience is not clear and is blurry, you cannot touch your spirit. The conscience is like a glass of a window. If there is dirt on it, it will block the light from coming in. You have to clean the glass. We need to exercise our conscience so there is no room for lying.

Second, we need to exercise intuition. Our human spirit is the only organ that can have intuition to directly sense the Lord’s speaking, it’s not in a verbal way, but if your conscience is dull then no intuition can happen. Intuition is not logic. If you can interpret into a logic, that is not intuition. Intuition is very personified. It’s very much a sphere, a domain, of a presence.

Third, fellowshipping. This fellowshipping is a continuous mingling. Fellowship in Greek means to share in common constantly. In our spirit you cannot leave God. You cannot be in and out. There’s no such thing as leaving God. The only people that will leave God are those who commit sins thus there is no conscience, there is no intuition, which means there is no flow of life.

When you go to the Lord, you are exercising your conscience. Often times we don’t have a conscience, we have a nonfunctioning conscience, or we have a very defiled conscience. We need to apply the Lord’s blood. Nobody can meet the Lord without the cross, it doesn’t matter how much seniority you have. My experience in my prayer, everytime I go to the Lord, it is a cross that crosses me out. You cannot say “Lord, let me talk to You.” When you have that attitude you will never meet the Lord, but if you want to hear the Lord, you better apply the Lord’s blood. “Lord, cover my iniquities, cleanse my heart, forgive my sins.” If you can do that, I guarantee you the intuition is there, I guarantee you that you can never leave that fellowship because that is your spirit. That’s how we exercise our spirit in a very practical way. It’s not about morning watches or singing songs, it’s about your condition with the Lord. There has to be a gushing out of your condition and that is the river of life. People who touch you will right away touch the throne. You bring the flow to people and in the meantime the throne is going to people, and people are saved. It’s not because you are persuasive, it’s because they touched the throne. Let’s exercise our spirit! We all need to be real deal believers.
